Hey girlies! Im new to this tip account, so Im going to start off by saying my name is Teagan, I'm 14, and I live in Dublin, Ireland.
Right, so I think that these 'Water Marble' nails are uber cool! So I thought I'd share how to do them with you guys!
Here goes(:
Things You'll Need:
Tape
3 to 5 nail polishes(Make sure they aren't 'quick dry' or it wont work)
Toothpicks
Newspaper( It can get kinda messy)
Paper or plastic bowl filled with room temperature water
Step One:
Put your newspaper down on a table, then place the bowl of water on top of it. Have your tooth picks, tape, and nail polish's at easy access
Steps Two: Take one nail polish and let it hover above the water close, but not touching. Once a drop has fallen in the water take the next color, and all the rest so on, repeat the process a few times. The amount of colors will also change how many times you should repeat the process.
Step Three:
Take a tooth pick, and draw a design in the nail polish in the water, doesn't have to be special. It could look like a heart, or a star, or just swirls.
Step four: Place tape all around your nail so your finger/skin is covered by it, but the nail is not.
Step five: Gently place your taped finger and nail into the design, hold it there for a few seconds.
Step six: Take a tooth pick and swirl it in the water to get the excess dried nail polish out from around, and under your nail.
Step seven: Slowly and carefully remove the water marbled nail out of the water. It should look like one of the above pictures, but don't be disappointed, or upset if it doesn't. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the hang of it (:
It's a bit of a time consuming process, and it doesn't always work. So be patient!
I usually go for just like two or three nails, all of them is a bit to bold for some people (:
It's mostly for accent nails (:
Thanks guys, I hope this helped and you enjoyed it!
See ya later
